Endless Love:

Beautiful people, sweet romantic love story, great chemistry between leads. The story is classic formula that wouldn't be out of place in an Elvis film, but without the music. He's the classic misunderstood rough-hunk good guy Dad thinks is bad and beneath her, she is the penultimate beautiful Spring flower just blossoming, at the height of color and glory. This is a movie for those who want to feel that young love, not those who want an intellectual mind-exercise. Walk in with your eyes and heart, and let your mind idle and drift along for the ride, and you'll be fine. 7/10.

Skip the popcorn and take chocolates...and your lover.

Winter's Tale:

Winter's Tale: Poetic, gorgeous cinematography, magical, romantic to the point of breathless. Wonderful acting. Loved the special effects and artistry. I have to hush so as not to spoil, but one character was a bit...off. Beautiful story. 9/10

Vampire Academy:

Yup, I picked it. Nothing like watching a gaggle of blood-crazed wenches go all warrior-crazy over their wet-behind-the-fangs crush-muffins with strange magic and three kinds of goo-gaa eyes. Hey, at least it has heart and passion and only the babes sparkle...when they wear fancy dresses and jewelry. Kick-ass fun, better than expected, funny, edgy, and worth some popcorn. Yeah, nicely twisty. Who knew blood rage could be sweet? 7.5/10

Pass the popcorn.

Philomena:

Beautiful acting, on both leads. Reminds me of why I want to run as far as possible from organized religion. Creepy secret society types don't have anything close to a lock on God. Some of their members do, though. Great story that gets past the evildoers. There is good in the world despite the insane clowns. Bonus, no explosions, no bullets. Like simple malice isn't enough? 9/10
